2010 Ford Shelby GT500 - 540 Horsepower Muscle Car

The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 was officially unveiled at Detroit 2009. This modern muscle car takes the recent Mustang redesign and injects it with all that is Shelby to produce a super powered Mustang that should best the 2009 GT500 in nearly every respect. Most notable power gains and an architecture built from the extreme Shelby GT500KR (King of the Road edition), the 2010 car distances itself from 2010 Mustangs to an even greater degree than last year’s car.

The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 packs 540 horsepower 5.4-liter V8 - this new Shelby is more powerful than it’s predecessor by 40 horses. The supercharged and intercooled V8, featuring dual overhead cams, redlines at 6,250 rpm. It also packs a sticker price of $45,000 which obviously prices it out of the range of the average consumer but cheaper than the $300,000 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500-K Red Convertible we previously featured.

Notes from the 2009 Detroit Auto Show 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 :

What really separates the GT500 from the KR is grip. The special Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires, on forged alloy 19-in. wheels, can’t equal the near-R-compound stickies found on the KR. And if you opt for the convertible you get only 18-in. wheels. Still, Ford says the GT500 has better handling and refinement than the previous model. The snake emblem on the grille has been moved to the passenger side. This allows better airflow to the new cold-air intake on the driver’s. The 2010 Shelby GT500 hits the market in spring.

Voice-activated navigation with Sirius Travel Link is optional.

1969 Chevrolet Corvette One-Off aka The Bomber

The Chevrolet Corvette has always been one of the most widely recognized of all American muscle cars and with good reason. Take one look at this stunning 1969 Chevrolet Corvette for sale by S&S Motorsports of Sarasota, Florida for a cool $295,000 and you’ll understand why Vette’s are often stared at and talked about.

Could you imagine what all friends and family would say if they saw you driving up in this one of a kind 1969 Chevrolet Corvette? Of course, they would all say “Can I go for a ride?”

It’s not just a looker that will turn heads, “the Bomber” is fully loaded with a Custom built 565 cid/ 9.0 Litre Dart® S/S Motor that is capable of 1800 HP Plus!

Michael Anthony, the bass player for Van Halen loves this car but if you’re thinking about buying it, be warned, he might ask you for a ride home after he’s been drinking Jack Daniels.

The “Bomber” is even going to be featured in an upcoming video game. In my opinion, if there every were an absolutely perfect car, this would have to be it.
